Why do we need math for AI?

Artificial Intelligence seems like magic for us, but behind the algorithms is something much more grounded: math. If you are training a neural network or fine-tuning a recommendation engine, mathematics is essential. If you are serious about working in AI, you can't afford to skip the math.
